Be Part of the Team
Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA) is a unique contracting arrangement made up by three companies: Jacobs Technology, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and General Physics. ATA provides Wind Tunnel and 50+ other testing services to the United States Air Force at Arnold Air Force Base/Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) in southern middle Tennessee.
As an ATA/AEDC coop or intern, you will have an opportunity to work with engineers and scientists involved in testing hypersonics, space simulation, rockets, propulsion systems, trisonics laboratory and test operations, modeling and simulation, space environments, hypervelocity Aerodynamic/Aero-Thermal/Aero-Optics, scientific research and project management.
AEDC is a unique place historically, operationally, in the scope of testing capabilities and most importantly for the skill and experience of the people who work here.
Prepare for Your Career
Cooperative education or internships provide an opportunity to gain valuable work experience related to your field of study. You will be engaged in paid, full-time work that allows you to apply classroom theories to air and space-flight missions. Your experience as a coop or intern will also help you determine whether a career in your current major is right for you. If it is, your new skills and knowledge will help you to begin your career at a higher level of responsibility and productivity.
Past AEDC Co-ops/Interns have worked on projects such as the following:
